The Best NHL Props Bets

Joe Pavelski O 0.5 Assists

+128 FanDuel

In Joe Pavelski’s 16th season in the NHL last year, the vet had a career-high 54 assists. He already has 12 assists through 19 games this season and nine over his last 11 games. He can thank Jason Robertson for all the assists, as the sniper enters tonight third in the league in goals (14) and points (29). Pavelski, Robertson and Roope Hintz have been one of the best lines in hockey since the start of last season.

They racked up a combined 124 points over 120 games at home last season and have 34 points over 23 combined games at home this season. Chicago has allowed the third-most shots and attempts at 5v5/60 and rank inside the top 10 in goals, expected goals and scoring chances allowed. On top of that, they have a bottom-10 penalty kill, and the Stars have the fourth-best power play thanks to Robertson, Pavelski and Hintz. I’d say this line finds the score sheet once or twice, and let’s hope Pavelski continues to dish out apples.

Jordan Kyrou OVER 2.5 SOG

-125 BetRivers

Kyrou has turned the corner after a slow start and I’m surprised we’re getting 2.5 shots, considering he was at 3.5 in his last game. Kyrou has points in five straight (two goals and eight points), and he’s put at least three pucks on goal in six of his last eight games. He has at least four shots on goal in five of those contests. He’s earned himself a spot on the Blues’ top line and first power play, and he gets a Sabres team on the second-half of a back to back.

Tage Thompson OVER 4.5 SOG

+125 BetRivers

Tage Thompson is juiced at most books for 3.5 shots on goal. We took that juice and drank it up last night as Thompson finished with nine shots on goal. It was the sixth time this season where Thompson had at least eight shots in a game. For those who follow my work, you already know how crazy I am about this 6-foot-7, 218-pound monster. It’s astonishing how quickly he can get up and down the ice and the hands he has in tight. This is the first time books are offering 4.5, and we’re getting it at plus money.

The former Blue broke out last season with 38 goals and 68 points over 79 games. He averaged 3.2 shots per game over that span. This season over 19 games, he has 13 goals, 26 points and is averaging 4.8 shots per game. He’s getting more ice time per game this season and getting penalty kill time as well. The big man has 41 shots and 63 attempts over his last six games. That’s 6.8 shots and 10.5 attempts over that span. He has at least six shots in four straight games and has at least six shots on goal in eight games this season. Let’s ride this out!
