Much like the U.S. Open, there are some mass withdrawals from the Grand Slam, notably defending women’s champion Ash Barty and current U.S. Open women’s champion Naomi Osaka. Also absent for the ladies includes Bianca Andreescu and Belinda Bencic, which means four of the top-10 women will be missing from the tournament.
