Welcome to the baseball prop bet tracker. As MLB season gets into full swing, another way to get in on the action is to analyzes the day’s best prop bets – from strikeouts to home runs, first to five runs to total bases logged.

Each day, we will try and identify a few picks that are ready to explode in the prop market.

Zac Gallen Under 7.5 Strikeouts (-167, DraftKings)

Look y’all, I am pleased as punch Gallen is back on the bump for the Diamondbacks. His recovery from a right forearm injury (during batting practice, no less) is nice to see, but I would be nervous that Arizona extends him too deep in this game. It’s a major blessing to have him back, but mixing in an Oakland offense that has turned the corner recently, and I’m pounding the under here.

John Means Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-113, DraftKings)

This is my lock of the day. The Mariners are striking out an egregious clip (28.0%), and their paltry mark of a .130 ISO ain’t nothing to shake a stick at. Means has hit four and five strikeouts in his first two outings, but against far better offensive attacks in the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. Now, this is part of a doubleheader, so don’t go too crazy here. But he could light up the scoreboard.

Pete Alonso to hit a Home Run (+400, DraftKings)

Chase Anderson was bumped from Monday’s start due to rain, but there is still a great reason to roster players like Alonso. Not only has Anderson stunk, he’s been hammered by same-sided righty bats like Alonso: try on for size a .349 wOBA for his career. It’s not necessarily worthy of a huge-unit play, but put a small taste on Alonso.
