This week’s tournament and course preview for the PGA Tour takes us to the El Camaleon Golf Club for the Mayakoba Golf Classic. Unfortunately, we are back to a course that does not have strokes gained data, but the tour has played this course for many years, so we can look into the traditional data to form a solid course fit profile.
El Camaleon plays as a Par-71, 6,987 yards but it actually plays slightly shorter than that when comparing the distances of average hole length to what par they’re listed as. It’s not a difficult course, there will be plenty of scoring, fairways aren’t difficult to find and green in regulation numbers are right at 70%.
