This week the PGA Tour is staying in Las Vegas for the CJ Cup. The tournament will be played at Summit Golf Club, a new course for the tour.

This event, typically played in Korea, was also played in Las Vegas last year but at Shadow Creek.  Keep this in mind if you’re looking into past event data – you will not have any from this course! 

What we know is that Summit is a private club and that Collin Morikawa (among others) is a member here.  Is that an advantage? I’m not sure exactly how to quantify that, but it is surely not a disadvantage. However, judging simply from flyovers, overhead views and who the regular clientele is, I cannot imagine the course was designed to be overly difficult.  As the pros love to say, it’s probably...
