Preview
It is hard to envision Shaka Smart’s first season going better. He injected life and a winning culture immediately, which paid huge dividends. The Golden Eagles won seven straight games in mid-January to sit at 15-6 (7-3 in conference) before late season tournament losses to Creighton (Big East) and North Carolina (NCAA). This year projects as a tough movement with eight players having two years or less of college experience.
