The Best MLB Props Bets

J.P. France OVER 5.5 K

(-115, BetRivers Sportsbook)

J.P. France only has 18 strikeouts over his first 21 innings in the Majors, but he has potential to be a strikeout per inning pitcher. In his last start against the free-swinging Milwaukee Brewers, France fanned eight batters over 5.2 innings. The Brewers have the fourth-highest strikeout rate in baseball as we enter the week. France gets the Twins today and they’re rocking the highest K-Rate (26.4%) and SwStr% (12.6%) in the game. Over the last 30 days, Minnesota has a league-high 27.5 K%, so things are trending in the wrong direction. France has a respectable 10.3% swinging strike rate so far, proving that his 269 strikeouts over 210 innings of AAA ball since 2021 were not a fluke.

Michael Kopech Over 6.5 K

(+127, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Michael Kopech struggled heavily to start the season as he allowed 20 runs, eight home runs and 16 walks in his first five starts. The White Sox’s righty has an alarming 4.55 walks per nine rate to go along with a 47% fly ball rate. However, Kopech has a solid 9.42 K/9 and 11.3 SwStr% in 57.1 innings. Over his last three starts, he’s only allowed two runs on four hits and he has 24 punch-outs over 19.2 innings. Opponents are only hitting .177 against him at home and they only hit .157 against him at Guaranteed Rate Field last season. The Angels rank 18th in strikeout rate (22%), but they’re inside the top 12 over the past month (23.1%) and they have the sixth-highest SwStr% over that span (12.2%).
