It’s been a difficult season for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, having gone 2-5 overall so far, 0-5 in conference play. While the Bulldogs have played some close games against higher-caliber teams, notably a one-point loss to Mississippi State in their opener and only a two-point loss to the high-powered offense of SMU, this has been a forgettable season marred by some ugly losses as well.
The majority of games have resulted in the Bulldogs being physically outmatched, and QB Austin Kendall not having the requisite talent, athleticism or weaponry to keep up when their opponent begins to build a lead. There’s still some optimism that the Bulldogs may be able to salvage a conference win, but moral victories are all that can be hoped for at this time.
Louisiana Tech Football Betting Odds
For the 2021-2022 CFB season, Louisiana Tech has been a significant underdog more often than not. With a bad defense and a shortage of playmakers on offense, it is no wonder they have struggled when going up against more physically dominant teams. Still, they have been able to make games competitive against the teams you would least expect, so there appears to be enough talent here to be frisky when the Bulldogs are properly motivated. Bulldogs Futures Odds
Louisiana Tech is unlikely to have any player win any award of any kind, let alone have a chance to be considered to win the National Championship or have a player in the Heisman Trophy race. With that in mind, there are some other betting markets open from time to time at legal sportsbooks such as futures to win the conference. Check out DraftKings Sportsbook for the latest.
Louisiana Tech Props
QB Austin Kendall has been enigmatic throughout his career, and this year is no exception. He had an amazing first game of the season against a tough SEC defense in Mississippi State, and he threw for a whopping 351 yards and 4 TDs against SMU. He’s also missed some games with injury, but the talent is there and shows up from time to time, so if he’s healthy and you see some lower-yardage numbers available, that may be appealing. If it’s freshman JD Head at the helm instead, he’s been dynamic at times, but hasn’t proven himself to have much of a ceiling in the passing game. Smoke Harris certainly sees plenty of volume, so if you’d rather not roll the dice on picking the correct QB and instead want all the Smoke, taking a receptions over on Harris could be a fun play as well. LA Tech Betting Picks
With some weaker opponents on the schedule and a struggling defense that just gave up 52 points to UAB, we could see some opportunity with taking overs in the coming weeks. This team may be looking to the future, but there is still money to be made in the present. Head on over to DraftKings Sportsbook to see what the opportunities look like this week.
