Logan Gilbert Over 4.5 Strikeouts (NO LINE YET)
The Rays whiff. Like a lot. Their team strikeout rate sits at 27.1%, and while we often hammer this bet against lefties, the same line should be tantalizing here. Gilbert has figured a few things out recently, striking out 18 over his last 17.2 innings pitched. Stalk this line and be ready to smash it.
This one could seem strange, but let's peep the why. Matt Peacock, though he has an incredible name, has not been good this season. Peacock is allowing 1.60 HR/9, and he's just allowing too much contact -- as evidenced by his last start in which he allowed 10 base hits. Take the value and run with it.
I guess he's likely being used as an opener, but Wily Peralta
is taking the pill for the Tigers, and that is intriguing to me. Let's peep Peralta -- he's thrown 1.1 innings this year, and he didn't pitch last year. In 2019, he was blasted for 1.56 HR/9. Rendon, by the way, is starting to turn a corner. Slam this puppy.
