The Best NHL Prop Bets

Vladimir Tarasenko Point

(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued with the revenge spot here for Tarasenko as he makes his return to St. Louis. It’s really about the spot against Jordan Binnington and the Blues, along with Tarasenko’s spot in the lineup with the Rangers. Tarasenko has points in back-to-back games and has hit the score sheet in four of his last seven games. Binnington enters with a 3.36 GAA and .892 SV%. The Blues rank inside the top 10 in scoring chances and high danger chances allowed at 5v5/60 over the last five weeks, according to Natural Stat Trick. Patrick Kane won’t play, so Tarasenko will play on the second line with playmaker Artemi Panarin, and he’ll take Kane’s spot on the first power play. Tarasenko to pick up at least one point is our Free Bet of the Day.

Bonus

  • Tarasenko Goal (+215, FanDuel)
  • Mika Zibanejad Goal (+158, FanDuel)
  • Chris Kreider Point (-138, FanDuel)
  • Jakub Vrana O 2.5 SOG (-140, DraftKings)
  • Kreider & Mika Zibanejad Points SGP (+125, Bet365)
  • Tarasenko & Artemi Panarin Points SGP (+300, Bet365)

Alex Tuch Over 2.5 SOG

(-125, BetRivers)

Tuch was good to us Tuesday, and he’s been great to us all season. I’m surprised we can get this number for Touch, who has at least five shots on goal in three of his last four games. Don’t be discouraged with the matchup on the road as Tuch’s averaging 2.94 shots per game over 35 road games, compared to 2.8 in 33 games at home. Neither Buffalo nor Detroit is eliminated from the playoffs just yet, so this game is very important for both sides. Look for Buffalo to lean on its top line in a must win contest. Tuch’s linemate Jeff Skinner is also someone to consider as he’s racked up 16 shots on goal over his last three games and he’s cleared 2.5 in five of his last seven. Also, David Perron is someone else to consider in this game as he’s picked up at least one point in seven of his last nine games (12 points).

Bonus

  • David Perron Point (-135, DraftKings)
  • Jeff Skinner O 2.5 SOG (-137, BetRivers)
  • Tuch & Skinner Points SGP (+125, Bet365)
  • Perron & Dylan Larkin Points SGP (+120, Bet365)

Brock Boeser Over 2.5 SOG

(-122, BetRivers)

It’s been a rough season for Boeser and the Canucks, but this is a good spot for the winger who is playing his best hockey of the season. Boeser has four goals in his last six games, and he’s racked up seven points over that span. He put five pucks on the net in his last game and he’s had at least three shots on goal in nine of his last 10 games. He just played the Blackhawks in Chicago on March 26th and he finished with a goal, an assist and three shots.

I shared a few other NHL props to consider on Mean Streets, including a prop I really like at +190:
