With the sports betting market growing at a rapid pace with more states legalizing wagering by the week, bettors are looking for ways to sharpen their craft.
There’s an extensive suite of tools at FTNBets, ranging from player prop tables, stat projections and odds pages. The newest addition, however, is the NBA Betting model.
What is the FTNBets NBA Model?
The FTNBets NBA model is a two-pronged tool with the goal of giving you the biggest edge in NBA betting. To do this, we run 10,000 simulations for each game using our projection system that provides offensive and defensive values for each player.
The tool gives you the option to view two different sets of data;
- The implied total for each individual game on the slate
- The implied spread of each individual game on the slate
Both sets of Vegas data update in real-time, giving you the most up-to-date odds while also indicating which sportsbook offers you the most favorable betting odds.
An example is shown below:
How can I use a betting model to bet on the NBA?
The betting model can be used in a number of ways when it comes to betting on the NBA. If you prefer to bet on player props, the betting model serves as an all-encompassing hub in identifying which games carry the highest totals and how likely they are to go over that total. In this scenario, it’s typically more successful to target offensive production in games with high totals.
You can also use the model to simply pick the bets that the model is most confident in. Indicated on the right-hand side of the model, the higher the edge, the more likely the bet is to cash.
Another great way to use the model is to shop odds. It offers a one-stop shop for finding the best bang-for-your-buck by identifying the most favorable odds by Sportsbook.
Does the FTNBets NBA Betting model give me an edge?
The best way to use the NBA betting model is by identifying where the biggest edges lie, as these are the games that tend to pop more than any others during the 10,000 simulations.
This is made to be incredibly easy with the model, as indicated on the right-hand side of the above image where it notes “edge”.
The highest the percentage, the bigger the edge will be.
